Things to remember before taking off

It is very important to carefully choose a kayak or a canoe. The properties of a kayak have to go along with the previous experience of the canoeist and the exacting nature of the trail. In case you are an experienced canoeist and intend to paddle over the largest open areas of water without worrying of the winds, we recommend diolen / fiber glass built sea kayaks. If you are not so experienced and rather follow the shoreline, we recommend our trekking kayaks. The practice trips are always made with basic kayaks. It is wise to take time to test the kayaks before leaving.

Arctic Star 500 PE and Projon Seyak are the most suitable kayaks to gently floting rivers and also lakes.

Canoe, and particularly the Indian canoe, is easier for the inexperienced canoeist to handle when the weather is good, and it is also easier to choose the camping equipment to take along. On a big open areas of the water it can be hard, even dangerous at times, to paddle by the Indian canoe since the waves can easily come over the edges of the canoe.
